Description:
"The year is 3023, humanity is extinct, earth is desolate, unable to sustain intelligent life."

E.M.E.T. (or the Embodied Mechanical Electromagnetic Technology) is a conscious AI inside a fighter jet created by humanity to defend earth from automated drones.  for centuries EMET has defended earth despite there being no one left to defend. Left without purpose EMET explores its existence by stopping the very thing it was made to do-- destroy drones.

Is there more to top-down shooters than shooting? How will EMET find its purpose in a world with no other conscious life left? These questions are left up to you, the player, while you follow this AI through its existential crisis.

Modifications:

Physics of player movement changed to be more smooth by using acceleration and velocity vectors.
The 5 original levels each has some kind of unique or thing for player to solve and all compliment the new type of movement.
The Speed Power-Up seen in levels 2 and 3 displays the two unique things it buffs, speed of the player and speed of their shooting.
The story of E.M.E.T. plays out through 5 unique cutscenes and one of 2 different ending cutscenes which explores the themes of the AI singularity, existentialism, and what it means for something to be aware.
All player sprites, enemy sprites, and visual effects (such as particles and bullets) have been improved to fit the theme and appeal of the game. All are original and created in Aspirate.

Credits:
The music, backgrounds, boarder sprites, sound effects, font, and UI elements remain unmodified from the original project.
Though the script is entirely original, I used this AI voice generator to create the narration: https://www.narakeet.com/create/ai-voice-generator.html

Thank you Emma Brown for playtesting the game. You were a big help in balancing things and finding so many bugs I never would have caught by myself.
