Tips on playing The Crossword Killer,
You won't always be able to immediately solve every clue on first blush, take your time to go through the other clues and you just might get the context you need to solve it! Remember, the cipher and the map can assist you in solving the puzzle and ultimately determining the fate of the editor of the Pitch City Times Crossword!
Music
My process for creating the music for The Crossword Killer was taking the melodies, chords, or other bits and pieces of existing music and essentially covering and re-interpreting them as if they were a part of a film noir mystery movie using instrumentation, keys, and vibe of the era.
Title Track inspired by no particular song just by noir instrumentation and music in general
Club Corea Theme Inspired by “Spain” by Chick Corea
Deep Town Theme Inspired by “Singing in the Rain” by Gene Kelly
Blind Pig Theme Inspired by “The Easy Winners” by Scott Joplin
Arrau’s Aura Theme Inspired by Piano Sonata No. 14 (Moonlight Sonata) by Beethoven
Doo Wop Docks Theme Inspired by “Duke of Earl” by Gene Chandler and “In the Still of the Night” by the Tokens
Final Scene Theme again inpsired by nothing in particular
